File Extension U3p

The .u3p extension is not very common but users will encounter it commonly if they run public computers or else use large amounts of flash media. The .u3p file is a platform install file for U3 created flash media. This file is essential for U3 flash media devices (most commonly thumb drives and other portable media) to work fully and securely. Many types of software will install a .u3p file of their own accord for the sake of future use with portable media devices, as it allows for quick and secure use of software and hardware right through the USB port.

I really do love FileCure because it's so easy to use - you don't have to be some kind of computer guru to get just what you need!

Plug and play? Not even close. I spent a lot of time trying to get my new, so-called 'plug and play' scanner to work. I was about ready to take it back. ParetoLogic FileCure got it working and saved me a needless trip (and gas!!) back to the store.

I have to admit I'm no computer geek. When something goes wrong, I usually have to call someone to fix it and it costs me a lot of money. When my printer wouldn't work, a friend of mine suggested I try ParetoLogic FileCure a try. I figured it was worth a shot because I was going to have to pay for a geek anyway. I was so happy when it worked... and worked properly!

I figured the graphics card my grandson gave me was broken when I couldn't get it work on my computer. It turns out that I just didn't have the right driver. ParetoLogic FileCure got it workin.

Hello FileCure folks:

I can't thank you enough for this great product. I just bought a new Vista machine and had been having all kinds of problems. First it was my screen and once I got that fixed it was the printer . Finally, my son suggested I try your product. It worked great and continues to keep my computer working. Thanks you.

I hate paying a lot of money for anything. That's why I buy mostly used computer equipment. Last week I thought I got taken when I bought a scanner. It just would not work. ParetoLogic Driver Cure got it working. With the updates, it makes sure my stuff will keep working and that I don't have to pay more money.

I work at a school so my mom thinks I am some kind of computer whiz. I have wasted so much time trying to get her stuff to work. Our IT guy suggested I try ParetoLogic FileCure. It has been a godsend and has saved me a lot of wasted hours. My mom and I can't thank you enough.

Carol S., Saskatchewan

My wife bought me a new Vista system, and ever since I have had problems with some of my hardware. I saw FileCure, and decided to give it a shot. Ever since, the Vista and my hardware have been working great. Thanks!

Nick Shultz, Canberra, Australia

I upgraded my system to Vista, and my printer started to act funny. No error messages, but it just wasn't working quite right. I read that drivers could sometimes be the problem. I looked online and saw FileCure. After downloading FileCure, my printer works great. You guys rock!

There are too many programs which use the .u3p files to list them, and so users who have trouble with them may find that they need to do some searching in order to find out what is supposed to open the file. In general, however, they can figure it out by looking back on how they have used their computer and their flash memory drives in order to figure out what most likely uses and needs the .u3p file.

The most common problem that users encounter when they have .u3p problems is that they can't find the right file to open and run it, as discussed above. However, missing or corrupt .u3p files do occur, and they are generally the result of a badly installed piece of software or a flash drive which was yanked out prematurely. As such, it may be necessary to reinstall the software that is having the problem, or plug the drive back in and attempt to read it again.

More Info Regarding File Extension U3p

The U3 company knows flash drives and flash software very well, and in general a simple reinstall makes their hardware and software work again. It is also possible to contact their customer service via their website, which is http://www.u3.com/. To prevent damaged, corrupt or improperly installed .u3p files from occurring, it is necessary only to properly "eject" the thumb drive before removing it. While many USB drives can simply be pulled out, it is best to tell windows to shut down the hardware before removing, or else wait until the PC has been shut down to remove the drive. This will also prevent lost data and write errors, which are common with portable media.

Many companies use the U3 software when working with their flash drives, and it is very common for media and content which is delivered via flash memory. Therefore, users who have computers which access a lot of flash media (especially public computers or ones used by large groups of people) may encounter .u3p files rather regularly. In general, it is safe to delete them, since they will self-reinstall from a flash drive as necessary. However, users who find that they have installed a .u3p file on their own computer should leave it where it is. The .u3p file is necessary for their flash drive to function to it's fullest ability, therefore it will have to be reinstalled every time the flash drive is put into the USB port, which can be an annoyance to the user. Additionally, a missing .u3p file may lead to poorly written or corrupt data either on the computer itself or the thumb drive. Therefore the .u3p file should not be removed manually, it should only be removed by a program's uninstall application.

Because it is commonly installed and removed, registry scans may pick up .u3p errors. Registry scanners and registry fixers are common, and they will all flag the .u3p extension if it was entered in the registry but no file was left behind when the USB drive was removed. This is no cause for concern, fortunately, since the registry fixer can quickly remove the .u3p entry from the registry with no ill consequence. This is also true for when a .u3p file is removed by an uninstall or when it is automatically removed by a proper USB removal or shutdown. In general, however, the .u3p file either resides on the flash drive or is installed on the computer semi-permanently in order to assist in secure data transfers. This prevents registry errors and is an indication that the computer's existing software uses the .up3 file regularly, indicating it should not be removed.
